Dictionary of Life – Wooden House

Hello fellow Crafters!

Today I would like to show you my decorated wooden house. I just love this house with all its little compartments that you can decorate and fill with embellishments, photos and trinkets!

The Distress Paints are lovely to use on the wooden surface and are nice and bright. I used a combination of Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed, Broken China and Antiqued Bronze to colour each of the compartments.  I had an old school dictionary to use up and thought it would be ideal for adding some pattern to this project. I used lots of embellishments to decorate the house (a great range of these can be found in the Crafters’ Palette shop!), including some pearl swirls and gold gems. I love using pearl swirls – they are so great as you can cut the swirl into lots of smaller swirls to spread around your project, or save some for a later project!

Happy crafting!

Sally-Anne
