The Kaisercraft Texture Stamps are just fantastic! I love using them for all kinds of crafting projects, but they are especially great to use to make your very own backing papers…
I dulled down my Pollen cardstock to make it look aged by using a blending tool with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I then stamped with the Grid Texture Stamp around the edge of my cardstock, using Ground Espresso and Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.
I then inked up the Grid Stamp with Versamark ink and stamped in both diagonal corners of the cardstock. Whilst the ink was still wet I sprinkled some Aged Scarlet Embossing Enamel liberally over the stamped image, then used a heat gun to melt the embossing powder. I also used the Decorative Lamp Stamp in the bottom right corner and embossed this too.
I created some layers using the ‘Redwood’ Basecoat scrapbook paper – this matched the colour of the Aged Scarlet embossing enamel that I had used on the background perfectly. I cut some stars from chipboard using the Primitive Stars Bigz Die and played with different techniques so that they were varied on my page. A little gold trim and some dark green foliage finished the design nicely.
